Unsigned but not unnoticed they have been writing and playing for just over a year now. Blending a mix of two part harmony and simple yet memorable guitar melodies, which lands just short of the folk mark but taps gently on the barn door of country. With some of Doug's lyrics erring on the darker side of the Johnny Cash school of song writing, this he feels is not a bad thing as songs arn't always sweetness and light and he admits "I could never write those boy meets girlie love songs."

They are very pround of their no covers policy. Choosing to put pen to paper and come up with refreshing and original material. making the decision right from the start to keep the 'pub gigs' to a bare minimum.

Opting to display their talents at more rewarding venues. A brief visit to London to play a gig at The Gate, Notting Hill, proved a success and various gigs in and around the west country have generated a positive response.

A soon to be release 'demo' CD will be available, capturing the home spun feeling of Stocks & Powell.
